BugRecorder - About us

Bug Recorder (bugrecorder) started as an internal tool to catch browser errors together with session recording, console logs, network … to be able to regenerate the bug same way we do in dev tool, later we started adding more features like Analytics insights, user feedback, funnels, heatmaps, health checks and more with a Privacy First approach. It does not store IP addresses or use cookies to track users. The idea was to have everything in one place and make it easy to use - no need to jump between different tools.

How The Name Came

The name came from the idea of recording bugs. We wanted to know when an error happened and what was the context, so we added session recording including console logs and network requests, the same way we debug in the browser.

After that, we introduced it to our customers. They liked it and we started to get feedback, and we continued to improve it.

Now we have made it available for everyone, and we are still adding new features to cover everything indie makers and startups need.
